Okay so I still have not updated my ipod to the 2.0 software and I'm going crazy.
But My computer is broken and wont be fixed for awhile,
or until I get a new one.
So Im using my brother's and he said i could put my ipod on here.
But heres the thing.
I was wondering, If I buy the update on his computer,
then later switch to a new computer,
Will I loose the update??
Will I have to rebuy it?
Is there a way to prevent this from happening (ie contacting Apple & Such)

The update is tied to your iTunes account, so as long as you are signed in with your account in both your brothers' iTunes when you buy it, and your own once your computer is fixed.
I've synced with at least four computers since I got the 2.0 update on my 1G touch, and it kept the same firmware.
