I've always been a 15/16 fan. Personally, I had a 15" as my daily driver from 2006-2019. From 2015 on, I had a 12" MacBook I used occasionally. In 2019, I sold my Mac Pro, and 15" MBP and bought a 27" 9900k iMac.

Now, with the 12" as my only portable, I still occasionally miss the 15" for working while on the go, but I'm lucky enough to have the iMac do most of my productivity work on. The 12" though, I'm comfortable with it being slow as hell, since it's silent, iPad sized, and with great battery life. I have it cause it's small, not because it's fast.

Personally, I'd never buy a 13" MBP. It's not big enough or powerful enough to serve as a desktop replacement, and it's not tiny enough to sacrifice that much juice on. The 13" MBP in what I might call a "usable config", is only marginally cheaper than a 16" and way slower.

13": i7 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD = $1,999
16": i7 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / Radeon 5300M = $2,399

For $300, the 16" is a no brainer.

I even find the Air a little chonky, so I'm really hoping we see an ARM based 12" MacBook again. That with a 27" iMac backstopping it would be freaking amazing.
