Sticking with my Ultra 1, which I love. Tim Apple is not getting much money from me for the next three years and change...

I'm teetering back and forth but leaning towards just holding onto my 2 after looking at Apple's comparison chart between the two. During the keynote I was pretty sure I was getting the 3 but some of the features are software and being back ported to the Ultra 2. I'm curious what advantage are you thinking you'll see with 5G over LTE on the watch? Better signal with the new antenna design might play a bigger role it seems to me rather than the 5G vs LTE. I mainly just stream music over cellular but it starts up pretty much immediately. Wonder if the battery life on cellular only is better.
Sorry to be so long in getting back to you. Hopefully I’ll have a more informed answer for you later today, but the big deal with 5G is that I live in an LTE dead zone. The peninsula I live on has far too few cell towers. The same people who complain bitterly about poor cell service also object strenuously to new towers in their neighborhood. LTE is iffy, but 5G, especially in the lower frequencies, apparently has a longer reach. At least that’s the way it’s worked on my phone. I suspect I’ll soon know more than I wanted to about 5G RedCap…
