Buyer's Guide: Discounts on iMac, MacBook Air, Retina MacBook Pro, and Apple Accessories

As we head further into April, deals have begun to dry up a bit. There are still discounts on a few select iPad models, and low prices on the iMac, older MacBook Air, and older MacBook Pro models. Deals on current products like the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 are unavailable this week, so if you're looking to buy a tablet, you might want to hold off for a bit.

iPad Air 2

Best Buy continues to offer the lowest prices we've seen on a single iPad Air 2: the 16GB Cellular iPad Air 2 in silver is available for $499.99, $130 off its regular price.

B&H Photo is offering a small discount on all of its iPad Air 2 models, dropping prices by $30 to $50. With the discount, the 16GB WiFi only iPad Air 2 is priced at $469 and the 64GB model is priced at $569.

I agree. Micro center always has fantastic non-sale prices. Even a quick search on Amazon reveals I can buy an iPad 2 (from Amazon) for $450.

The notice of the sale prices are helpful, but hardly the cheapest.

Micro Center is a computer & electronics store with 25 locations in 16 states. MacRumors is a USA based website with readers all over the world. At least they are posting deals from USA national chains. People in Canada and other parts of the world are left out of these deal listings. That would be like me complaining that they didn't include sales from Fry's Electronics... another REGIONAL electronics retailer. If you are a customer of these REGIONAL stores , then I am sure you already pay attention to their advertisements. It is not necessary to include every mom & pop electronic store in MacRumor deal lists!

But they are most definitely NOT a significant retailer with only 25 stores sprinkled around the country. I live in Phoenix, the 6th largest US city by population... and there is no Microcenter in the state of Arizona at all. Best Buy is a nationwide retailer with close to 2000 locations, with stores in every state in the country.

1) Microcenter is not a mom and pop shop. It actually does millions each year in sales.

2) It has retail and online shopping. You can buy anywhere online last time I checked. Clearly you heard of the Internet since you posted using it.

3) B&H has 1 location. That location is in NYC.

4) MacMall is online only as far as I know, they may have a few retail stores in their home location area.

So again, not sure what world you live in but maybe you should research before you post.
