Oh pay no attention to that, it’s still basing on the average which for a time it was updated annually, and then there was 4 years between the 4 and the 5. If you want a mini get the 5 now, it’s unlikely that we’ll see an update anytime soon.
Also agree. The Mini 5 is an amazing device and it's the iPad I use most (have the 9.7 pro too). It's super portable, lightweight and buttery smooth to use.
I agree, iPad Mini 5 is a fantastic device. You can't even trade it in with Apple for now either because it's the current version. For now it's my only iPad and for the past year and at least a couple years ahead I'll use it for gaming and other apps. I have the 11” ipad pro & the ipad mini 5. The mini 5 is the ipad i grab most often when i am on the go. It’s a great little ipad. Having said that, i would love it if the ipad mini gets the flat edged design of the ipad pro so i could use my apple pencil 2 on both my ipads. That would be great. I just can’t bring myself to buy the old apple pencil for the mini 5.

We haven't seen signs of an imminent update for the iPad mini, so I've manually adjusted the recommendation back to "Caution" for now. That said, Ming-Chi Kuo said in early March that he was expecting a mini-LED iPad mini sometime this year. Given the advanced technology, it likely wouldn't come until late in the year, and may even be pushed back to 2021 given coronavirus impacts on Apple's product pipeline.
Apple has six mini-LED products in the works that are set to debut in 2020 and 2021, and production is not expected to be delayed by the coronavirus,...

So no, we don't see an imminent update for the iPad mini, but we're starting to hear the first rumbles of one coming down the road.
