I have to agree. My Air feels faster than the rMBP. The choppy transitions are terrible. And you can try or yourself with every machine. Just open a few windows and use mission control. It is abysmal.

That does not look fine. You (or at least I can) clearly see that frames are dropping and that it stutters. Try doing that with a 4k display as well. It's disgusting, even in clamshell mode.

OMG. Ok dude, its disgusting. If I were you I'd return it.

Forgive me if I choose keep mine.

I think we have reached the end of this argument. The 2015 rMBP 13" is clearly an underpowered and ill designed machine that cannot even show Mission Control without disgusting and abysmal stuttering as clearly shown in that video. Its as obvious as the nose in my face.

Yes, but the Iris 6100 on the 13" is no slouch. The dedicated GPU is nicer, but not a requirement. The Iris 6100 performs better than dedicated GPUs from a generation or two ago.

No doubt a quad core and dedicated GPU is better, if you can tolerate that boat anchor of a machine taking up your lap or your desk. :p

One thing to keep in mind with 99% of integrated GPUs is that they are slow because they are using system memory to store the results of drawing operations. System memory is SLOW compared to video memory. That 1% is an integrated GPU like on the base 15" MacBook Pro that has 128MB of eDRAM to act as a buffer between the CPU/GPU and system memory so drawing is a lot faster. It's what allows the Iris Pro 5200 to be actually rather competitive against a GeForce GT 650M from the 2012 rMBP which was a year older.

That info isn't going to help you now since you already bought a 13" rMBP, but with Skylake, Intel will finally ship a dual-core CPU with 128MB eDRAM so it too will be pretty competitive and this problem can go away for 13" laptops.
