Audio you crack me up. I had the same opinion when I read post 1 of this thread.
We have a son going through college and he is living on his own, it only costs us $5500 a month, for him living on his own. At least our son is appreciative of the opportunity and not blowing our money or his on minimal upgrades in his computer.

While I understand what you're saying, I wouldn't really consider this "blowing money". As he has already stated, he's essentially buying an ipod touch and receiving a free upgrade to his computer. I think he's receiving a substantial upgrade coming from the 2.0 uMB and his purchase is totally justified through these upgrades.

I always do hate when people post threads asking for advice and then just do what they want before receiving any though. It does come off as a bit arrogant.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. The reason why I started this thread was because I wanted to make sure and get ideas from people whether I made a wise decision or not. I had no intentions in doing anything else aside from that. And after reading the replies, I am now convinced that my choice was wise and the little upgrade from a MacBook to a MacBook pro, despite the loss of $200, was worth it and considering that that loss was recovered from the free iPod Apple has offered.

Sweet... the MacBook Pro should be arriving sometime today.

The iPod, however, was shipped from China haha... I had it custom engraved and I just realized that I could have been more creative with the engravement instead of just having...
