I am seeing prices as low as $999 this week for the base 13 inch model. Any reason purchasing now is a bad decision? With these discounts, I can’t imagine that I will lose much if I sell it to buy a 2020 13 inch MBP.
I don't see why you wouldn't wait for the refresh next year when they dump the butterfly keyboard. Regardless of the discount, I wouldn't subject myself to the trouble of owning a MacBook with unreliable keyboard that will cause me headache down the road.
I love the butterfly keyboard. Have it on my 2018 Air. Fast and easy to type on. Zero issues. Plus there's a four-year warranty on the keyboard if I do have any problems, same as 2019 MBP. I say go for the 2019 Pro. You'll enjoy it for sure. Costco's got it for $999, and they double the warranty with the purchase. But you had better hurry; I think they're running out. Agreed. I've found that dictation works so well that I rarely use the keyboard anymore. I realize that dictation isn't the best method in every case, but it seems to work for most of what I do on my 2019 MacBook Air.Not every hates the butterfly keyboard.
Yeah, but not all of us have $2400 to buy a 16" Mac. And even if I did, I wouldn't spend it on a computer. My 2018 Air cost me $800, and it does everything I need it to do, really well. But that's me. Not everyone's needs are the same.I wouldn’t go anywhere near the current macs now that the 16 is out. Best computer I ever used.
