With O2 able to offer Pay and Go with Data "Bolt-on" for first generation iPhones in the UK, I'm starting to wonder where would be best to buy one and how much they are going to be selling for.

OK, so eBay is an obvious choice but what has happened or is happening to the demo units. Will a load of refurbs be on offer from the Apple Store or O2? I went into an O2 store a couple of weeks ago and although they weren't selling iPhones there were about six phones still out on display.

Come Monday, I'm sure we'll start to see the kind of price these are fetching and it the price is right then maybe this is the best option. I'm sure I saw a link in the Apple Online Refurb store to iPhones (empty at the time) but this has now gone.

At the moment it looks like an 8 GB iPhone is more than capable of breaking £250 on eBay, but once everyone is selling off their old one then the whole game could change.
