Buying a domain name for a mobileme site

hi there
I have a web site up on mobileme
Its not a commercial website its just for personal stuff
The URL you get is a real mouthful and so Im considering buying a
domain name
Anyone any advice or experience of this they could pass my way
Once you buy it how easy is it to set it up?
Is it set up in DNS as a CNAME?
Or do mobileme get involved?

Yes you can purchase a DNS with pretty much any vendor that allows you to set the CNAME. MobileMe staff does not need to get involved.

I've done it through GoDaddy before. It worked well and was easy. And I have very limited knowledge about this stuff. I've seen a lot of negative reviews about GoDaddy, but if you're looking just for a domain name for MM (also used it for blogger), it works great.
