Buying a hard drive for my imac 21.5" 2011

Hi, I have an iMac 21.5-Inch "Core i5" 2.8 (Mid-2011). But the hard drive has been removed by the seller. Which hard drive should I buy to put it back? Of course, it is better to have the temperature sensor.

Also, if I don't put a hard drive back but add a SSD in the optical drive position, will this be fine? Will the fan go crazy because the primary hard drive is not connected?

It would be better to put the SSD in the hard drive position. If I'm remembering correctly, the optical drive is connected to a slower SATA port.

How do you upgrade the hard drive in the "Late 2009," "Mid-2010," "Mid-2011" and "Late 2011" (21.5-Inch and 27-Inch) Aluminum iMac models? What type of storage do they support? Is it even possible to upgrade these models?

The fan will go crazy anyway because the original HDD was removed.
You can't install Mac Fan Control to get the fan back to normal?
