i will probably just end up ordering it online. The big reason i wanted to get it from the store is so they could transfer the data from my old laptop. Also cause i would rather not wait! Hope it ships in less than a week.
Dude, you cant wait ONE damn week to get your laptop jeez. You act like apple only made 500 laptops and you gotta get one. Just wait until your dad is available, or order one online.
Josh Boy...you are WRONG WRONG WRONG. It is third class fraud, but only in some states. Normally, a statement made by the company can clear them up. Especially in a national chain as large as mine (because it's happened at my store before), telling the court that "our company is so large and we have so many transactions a day that our eyes can skip sometimes" will clear us, and the blame will be placed on the cardholder for not taking resposibility of keeping track of their property.
Okay, so I may be writing this post in anguish due to my recent experiences with the Apple store, but just because Macs are such good products, doesn't mean the same for Apple employees. I find them sly, dishonest, and rude.
Out of curiosity, is that from your hassle at the Genius Bar, or did you also have a bad time with one of the Specialists? The Genius Bar folks don't sell products on the floor, and the Specialists have zero incentive to "slip something unneeded" onto the transaction as they don't work on commission and receive no spiffs/incentives for products sold (unlike most other national chain stores involving technology).
It was a combo...I had an iPhone problem which could only be explained by "water damage" even though their only indicator was not triggered (I eventually got it replaced from Apple, and many, many apologies for how wrong they were)...When I went to the Apple store I began with a Genius, disagreed, and the Manager came over, looked at my phone, dropped it on the counter (dilibertly) and said (not in these words) SOL. The problem I have with those people is that they think they're Gods and can do no wrong. When I have one of the execs from PR calling me to apologize, I think they did something wrong.
