If you go the new route, or buy another car for that matter, I strongly recommend a Civic. I have a 2007 5-speed LX and it is wonderful. Reliable, quiet, practical, enjoyable to drive, small, and very efficient. I do roughly 90% urban driving and can easily get 37mpg in the warmer months. 42 and higher is common when I shift to primarily interstate/highway driving. You're 19, so I don't know how well you drive, but either way you should be happy with the results. Good luck!
