I might go back to apple and exchange under the 14 day warranty period my cmbp 13inch 2.7GHZ but worried that 256SSD is not enough my hard drive including mac apps is at 650GB full how do you cope with all of this what are some options other then buying a built to order rmbp off apple.com (I kinda need the machine sooner then late next week) it would take 1-3 days to ship and then another 3-5 days for deliver.

How about macmall? Do they have anything?

also, what is taking all that space? it can't be the apps.

If you can re-evaluate what you really need on your computer, 256gb maybe more than enough for you. Supplement the rest with external storage devices.

I've been storing all of my HD video and music on an external hard drive, and my new rMBP 256GB runs great with this set set up. I bought a Toshiba 500GB ext HDD for $50 on sale at BB. They have 1.5 TB drives for less than $100. I thought about going to 512GB on my new Mac, but that really pushes the price up. The external hard drive works much more seamlessly on my MPB than on my Windows PC.

external hard drives are the way to go. I was the same way about the 256gb ssd on my rMBP but with an external drive and network storage i don't really worry about it anymore.

Like others said, any app and essential files won't take up 600+ gb. I only have 60+gb for apps only.

You either buy the 768gb which should have enough space for you OR you buy less storage (256gb) then get an external. There is no other choices for you.

This…I bought a Seagate GoFlex ultra portable 500GB hard drive. :apple:
