Yes that router will work but not to the fullest potential of your airport card thats built into the iMac. The iMac has 802.11n which is considerably faster. But if 802.11b/g is all you need then that will work just fine. I do not think you will get 108 speeds however.

why wouldn't that be listed in the product details? seems odd to me. that and the fact that i've never heard of the company.

I'd spend a bit more and get a known product name. Just my $.02.
