Hey congrats, you're fine!

Just out of the curiosity, I'd try another sim card from three or O2 to see whether it's really unlocked or locked to Vodafone.

Oh thank you, Thank you so much, what a relief that is,

I havent got an o2 or 3 sim card to try it out, but on the phone, when i click "settings" and then "carrier" it brings up "Automatic" which is ticked, and under that it also brings up "Vodafone ie" "o2 IRL" "3 IRL" and "Irl-Meteor"

Now i dont know if thats the same with all iphone's in ireland, locked or unlocked,

Thanks again..

I don't about those carrier settings but if it's unlocked, you got it for a very nice price.

The guy was probably telling the truth.

Yea it seems like he was telling the truth,

After using it now for a few hours and after downloading a few apps,
when i connected it back onto itunes, it asked me something like, "do you want to autorize your purchased apps from your iphone to this computer" so i clicked yes, and it then said, something like, "your iphone is now authorized to 2 of your 5 computers allowed" Do you know what that means?

Did it only ask me that to authorize the apps i just bought?

Just kinda confused as to why it said 2 of your 5 computers..

Thanks again, sorry for bothering you..

No bother,

You can use your iTunes account on 5 computers max, it's security precaution from iTunes.

You can have your iTunes installed on say 2 of your computers, logged in with your account and you can share your applications.

Basically iTunes asks you, "hey, you've some bought applications, do you want to authorize this computer so the user of this computer can use those bought applications?"

If the computer is yours or your wife's/girlfriend's basically someone who you want to share with, yes authorize, if not, then don't authorize.

You can authorize and de-authorize computers as you please.

Oh yes, i understand what your saying,

But what i dont understand is to why it said "it is now authorized to 2 of your 5 computers"

From what you said, i know i can have it, on up to 5 computers, but iv only connected it to this 1 computer, So why is it saying 2?

Could it possibly be that, on my old computer which i havent used for 3yrs(ex g/f kept it :)... i had itunes on that with same account and everything, so when it says 2, it means, this computer and my older computer with the same itunes account, even though the phone has never being connected to that computer..

Im probably way off the mark on this, and im sorry for going on about a small simple thing, but its nice to learn and just know..

Thanks again..

That's exactly what it means, your old computer is still "on file" and authorized.

You can de-authorize it but only in a "flush" type of a de-authorization that de-authorizes all computers, since you probably don't have the physical access to it anymore, I guess.

So, don't mind that, enjoy the iPhone.
