Buying a used 3GS, unlocking questions

Hi,

Just want to be sure before I buy a used 3GS, all of them can now be unlocked? Does the boot loader matter any more?

I am on a 2G and have not really followed the 3GS unlocking.

I am on a 2G and have not really followed the 3GS unlocking.

All 3GS can now be JB and Unlocked, no longer any dependency on Bootrom.

Spirit works for all version 3 software and jailbreakme.com works up to and including version 4.0.1. Ultrasnow unlocked all basebands currently available on the 3GS but will not work with the new baseband on 4.1 which is still only in beta.
