Resolved Buying a used iPhone, how to distinguish between 4 and 4S

@siurpeeman nailed it. Looking at the right edge of the phone:
  • one black band + SIM tray = iPhone 4 GSM
  • two black bands no tray = iPhone 4 CDMA
  • two black bands + SIM tray = iPhone 4S
