Buying a used iphone

Just wanted to know if there is anything specific to look for and how to check for any problems with a used iphone!

Depending on the build week of the phone I'd be checking for negative black. I don't know if there is a good list out there of affected weeks but a quick search seems to indicate 36, 37, 38, and 42.
