My old maxed out Intel Macbook Pro is finally giving up and i've been planing to purchase a high performance successor (M3 Pro or Max).
My question is in the title: I know thermal throttling wont be an issue with the M Generation but theoretically would a maxed out Macbook Air M3 in combination with a cooling system or a Macbook Pro M3 be better? I know the Pro will have better spec. I'm only considering the Air because i expect the Pro with internal fans to collect up dust like my current one which changes performance and always has to be maintained. Not sure if an Air has the dust issue. Never had one.
It has to be a portable device (most of the time connected to a bigger monitor) mainly doing huge file rendering, video editing and other creative work. I know a cooling system of any kind is not a bad idea. And i need a stand anyway.

Thank you!

Thank you a ton! Didn't know that. Than i have to wait for the Pro next year. As stated above rendering which can take hours and other creative work and video editing (very large filesize).

Wait for the pro, it will give you better everything. Especially since you're doing rendering and editing and such. The air is not good for your situation.

Thank you. I think i will. Just hate the dust collecting and heat from the current pro i own. Let's see how good the new m3 machines are. Only downside is the long wait till next year.

Thread can be closed? THANK YOU EVERYONE! New M3 Setup will be in the "Post Your Mac Setup: Past & Present" thread.
