Does anyone know if you can buy an iPhone from Apple with multiple iTunes gift cards?

Thanks.

I wouldn’t use any gift cards, the time to enter the code will have you behind everyone who outright pays for the phone with a single card for time.

Apple store gift cards work fine. Put them on yiur Apple store account or use the keyboard shortcut to enter them and it’s not a problem. Never has been for me.
Can you deposit the amount into your account without making a purchase?

With apple store gift cards there’s nothing to deposit. If you choose to use it then you’ll put the code in, but if not then it’ll stay put. It doesn’t expire. It doesn’t work the same way as the iTunes gift card which is meant only for the App Store or the iTunes Store.

It’s be nice if it were like amazon gift cards where you can deposit $$ into your Amazon account but not have to use them until someday you make a purchase. Sounds like this is not the case.

The only thing you can really do with the digital one is add them to your wallet but that’s about it

You can put them in your wallet with ApplePay - that was what I meant.

I personally use the keyboard shortcut method.
So tell me this, if I have 2 $100 gift cards, I add them to my wallet. The item I want to buy is $150... will it be smart enough to use both cards and all Inahbe to do is use TouchID to complete checkout? Or does the process work differently?

It will use the gift card amount (should you want) and then use the rest on your default payment method.

So I hear using the app is the fastest way to purchase a phone. Does anyone know if having a gift card that covers the full amount of the phone would be faster to complete preorder/checkout than using a credit card that is already in my Apple Pay wallet?

Yes, the Apple Store app on iPhone or iPad always seems to be the fastest way for me to get it ordered... as far as payment, I'd say that it's not really any faster... but if done right, no slower... it's just an alternative way to pay.
