Hi,
I am going to Europe in the beginning of 2009 and I really want to buy an iPhone unlocked and without contract. I know I will pay much more, but here in Brazil the iPhone's price is really high. Well, probably it will be the same price but at least I don't need to be stuck with a 2-years contract.

I was reading that I can buy one in Italy without contract, but I didn't find any information about it on TIM's website.

So, do you know which countries I can buy an iPhone without contract from?

Thank you,
Guillermo

Italy, both Vodafone and TIM sell them, simunlocked even with a contract.
Without a contract you'd have to pay 499€ for the 8Gig and 569€ for the 16Gig

Last question: both carriers I can buy without contract (eg: pre-paid / pay-as-you-go) right??

yes, both carriers, they will also give you a SIM and you will have to probably activate the phone at home on your own.
Right now, I believe any store selling cellphones has both, 8Gb and 16Gb, versions
