buying eu plug to the charger

so I've the 10w @ 12w ipad chargerd with us plug adapter.
i want to buy the eu plug adapter.
may i buy a generic one? or it's important to have a genuine adapter?

Some cheap chargers might be of low quality but in theory you don’t need an Apple branded one.
