Look around alittle. I saw a 700 MHZ imac g4 go for 255 + shipping, which is a pretty good deal on a sweet machine. I've been watching ebay too trying to find a steal on a nice apple laptop.

I was thinking maybe an Imac. Though I did have an imac a few years ago and it was absolute trash. My friend later told me it wasn't the best model. So ive seen a couple. The ones without keyboards and mice...will PC ones work in them?

why dont you get a mac mini?

I would LOVE a mac mini dont get me wrong. But I am looking in more a couple of hundred dollar price range. Mac mini is a bit too much for me 😛 Plus I dont have a spare screen!

Go for a wallstreet or lombard Powerbook G3...they're cool. Lombard has USB, so I would go for that.

i would reccommend ebay a lot. i love apple and i did see that vintage "slice" colored one the other day. but anyway... i bought an imac G3 for $25 about a month ago and even though i havnt had time to install OS X yet, i am planning to within the week wen i get the disks i want. but for OS 9, the 350Mhz G3 is rather speedy. i would recommend probably at least a 500Mhz G3. the next best value is probably a G3 ibook.

Remember that an eMac will absolutely kill you on the shipping charges.
Why don't you look for castoff locally? Schools that are upgrading, government surplus sales, etc?
