So, I'm all warmed up and ready to get 21".5 unit. As we're going to the states for holidays (driving that is from Canada), I'm thinking about getting one there from Apple store, refurbished, together with Apple Care and AirPort Express. That should be within our (two of us) border crossing allowance for duty and taxes.

Warranty is another thing, though. Is it transferable across the border? I tried to purchase PC last year this way, but warranty was only good in the country of purchase.

Any experienced gurus there on the issue? Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, Apple Retail stores don't sell refurbished products -- they're only available online. :(
