Buying in-store without carrier?

Hello! Does anyone know if we'll be able to buy a 7 in-store (using the reservation system tomorrow) without needing to sync with your carrier?

I ask because I'm on a Verizon prepaid plan. It's the reason I wasn't allowed to preorder last week -_-

Just ask for device only. I did this previous years and they did not have any questions or concerns. I would assume it would be the same for this year as well.

To be on the extra safe side, ask for a T-mobile "device only" unit to make sure its factory unlocked.

Opps, sorry: Ask for a Verizon "device" only so to make sure that it works with CDMA frequencies.
