Buying iphone without a contract

hi everybody.
i am going to go to usa for a conference next week.
when turning back to my country i want to buy a iphone from US.

so;
can i buy i iphone 3gs or iphone 4 from apple store or best buy or at&t shop without contracted?

it is not important iphone will be locked or cant use with other providers. i want to just buy a iphone and come back.

what will the price of a iphone 3gs 16 gb and iphone 4 16 gb ?

i want to buy from a store. any opinions?

Not apple or ATT, unless you have service with ATT; there is no way to get one from them at full price. Try Craigslist

hey man i looked at there but there isnt any certain answers. lots of thinks but not certain answer.

i am not american citizen so i havent got social security number.

so can i buy a uncontracted iphone 3gs or 4 from apple store or best buy?

Even if they did sell you a full price iPhone, it will be locked to AT&T.

Come here to Canada and pay full price to Apple and it will be unlocked and usable on any carrier
