lol, yeah sometimes cities and counties have sales tax too, but it won't be a big difference. maybe total sales tax is 6.5-7% (just generalizing). For instance where I live (Miami Dade County Florida) it is 7%, but just a few miles north in Broward County it's 6%.

You best bet is to give your friend $2000 to cover total cost then get any change back.

This may be a funny question but why don't you just buy it in Belgium and avoid the hassle?

I ordered mine from macmall.com, and have it delivered to a friend home in Broward, no sales tax added.
