Hi,

I am looking to buy an addition 8 GB of ram for a 2011 imac newly received from either NewEgg or NCIX.

Can someone please tell me if this Ram is correct:

Mushkin Enhanced 8GB 2X4GB PC3-10600 DDR3-1333 9-9-0-24 SODIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit (retails for $89.99 after Rebate from NCIX)

Or the same product description from Newegg, but detailed as being for the following mac models: MC510LL/A, MC511LL/A, MC508LL/A, MC509LL/A

Can someone tell me what it is that I am actually looking for in terms of specifications for the Ram? I'm after DDR3, notebook memory, running at 1333 MHz? Is there anything else I need to know?

Does anyone know what the current generation of imacs model numbers are relative to the model numbers I listed above?

Thanks

Just thought I would let you know that I ordered 8GB of RAM from Amazon.ca - SuperTalent DDR3-1333 SODIMM 4GB Micron Chip Notebook Memory W1333SB4GM x 2
Popped it in my newly arrived 27" i7 and working like a charm. Paid $113.

Options in Canada are always frustratingly limited!

Shaun, I've just bought this ram from NCIX last weekend. I suggest you to pricematch the Neweggs price @ NCIX as you will save more. $83.99 at Neweggs, plus $10 mailing Rebate +NCIX does have cheaper shipping option.

Be fast as the mailing rebate end tonight!
