Hello, I was checking apple.com and saw the refurbished site section, has anyone had any experience on buying a refurbished laptop? or do you recommend to get a new one better?

I've heard rumors about the new macbooks coming out soon, so I think it's better to wait, but what I'm most curious about is buying a refurbished mac product, do they come out good?

Refurbs are highly recommended. You get the same product at a discount, and with the same warranty as a new one. I always buy them instead of new when I can.

Save some money - you get the apple warranty, and you can buy applecare within the first year as well (for another 2 years).

I got a 3-week old MBP when I refurb'ed, and it's great.

From what I understand, they are as good as new. If you don't want/can't get the edu promo, I'd say go for the refurb.
