Buying used MacBook Pro 14

Apple will just a matter of time or keep searching the secondary market for a good used one. Have you considered a 16" wont be so much difference used...

Personally I prefer the 13" MBP as I want the portability, extensive battery life with active cooling. Dont like it's limited ports and the Touchbar as was DOA. 15" Air is interesting, but passive cooling has it's limitations and I feel the old 13" MBP's chassis stronger than the Air and can take a beating.

How can I check if it’s stolen or not? Is there anyway of checking?

Nothing realistically, while Apple knows every device by it's unique ID yet it tends to blur the lines. In all farness to Apple no easy answer...

Nah, the M2 chips are only ~20% better than their M1 equivalents. Not worth that much extra money.
