Buying with Target Red Card on VZW Edge

Does anyone know how buying an iPhone 6, (or any iphone) with a Target Red Card on VZW Edge would work? I get 5% off purchases with the Red Card. Would the 5% come off the price of a phone before breaking it up into VZW edge monthly installments? Or if I paid say $300 down would the 5% only come off that?

Only the amount you charge against the REDcard is going to get the discount. Whatever's financed on EDGE isn't going to get a REDcard discount.
