by passing admin control on mac osx

Okay is there anyway to by pass the admin control on mac osx. im wondering.... because i am at a lab on a computer trying to get passed the admin because the old admin forgot the da*mn password. so im wondering if there is anyway to do this because as of now we cant download crap or install any knew programs. the only way i thought of doing this is to just re install mac osx but im not sure... if there is any way to do this without doing that then please say so.

If there was that would be known as a security hole, flaw, breech whatever you want to call it. If there is a way, there shouldn't be. If you try the wrong password, I think 3 times maybe more, you should get a password hint, that is if the admin supplied one.

On the MacOSX install disks you can reset the Admin Password in the menu bar.
