No. Sprint offers 3 days for a full refund of everything. I think they offer 14 days (30 in CA and other states that require 30 days) to return devices and cancel service, but you will be charged for what you used in those 14 days. The 72hr return is a net 0 out of pocket for you.

As to those claiming the iPhone is the only slow phone on Sprint's 3G, that is a load of garbage. It absolutely depends upon where you are.

Here is a screenshot from my Epic "4G" (no 4G in Phoenix on Sprint yet, so everyone has to use their 3G network) back in January of this year. That was typical for me around the Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa.

I just want to further clarify if you want to cancel your contract with sprint. It is 14 days from the time of your pre-order... Spoke with the rep and they told me I have till 22nd of this month. Time to hurry!!!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to stick with my AT&T iPhone 4 or this new sprint iPhone 4S with unlimited data and a cheaper bill. So far Sprints network had been pretty erratic. In one stop I'll get .25mbs one test, then 1.10 MBA the next...I am going to be on the road this week traveling from Michigan to north Dakota so that will be a good test between AT&T and sprint.

How about 9.6 Mbps on AT&T with the iPhone 4S....

That is nice. AT&T is always faster than VZW and Sprint. Unfortunately, my 4 is not eligible for upgrade until Feb 2012. I am not paying the insane $ to upgrade for a spec bump. Also, AT&T = capped data. Those impressive speeds mean nothing when I go over my cap in like 5 Netflix videos over 3G while on the road...

It depends where you are. I am on Long Island and have good Sprint service, not slow, and a good signal.

Me too. Sprint is more reliable on LI for me that AT&T was (I'd lose signal at the same spot driving home each day on the highway, very frustrating). For the last year, Sprint has been fast and I've had good bars pretty much everywhere. So unlimited data and cheaper plans make Sprint an awesome choice compared to Verizon and AT&T around here. Can't say the same if you happen to be in a part of the country that has poor service...
