iPad Bypass face id and go right to passcode?

I feel like i do this on accident a lot but is there an actual way to do this?

Have you tried: settings/faceid & passcode/ turn off "use faceid for" iPhone unlock

i want it on 99.9% of the time, but there are times when my head is not at the perfect angle and I would just rather manually put in my passcode
