Bypassing Captchas

    Depends on the implementation. Some (notably Google's) offer an audio version of what needs to be typed. Other sites offer no alternatives. As a web developer myself I avoid using captcha in favor of alternative methods as I hate using them myself and like you probably, have issues with them on occasion.

    Specifically Craigslist type Captchas. Do you know of anyway to get around this?

    From the captcha on their user account creation page they have an audio option so yes you can bypass the captcha.

    Do you have software that can listen to the audio and decipher it?

    What you're asking is really more about how hackers bypass captcha to automate web site activity. That type of discussion isn't allowed here.
