"C" model release schedule?

My mom is looking into getting a new phone when her contract ends this fall, and as of now the 5C seems by far good enough for her needs. Before she decides on that, I'm curious what the release schedule for C models might be so she doesn't get the 5C a few months before the 6C is announced. Do you suppose C models will be released every year, or only every second year alongside S models?

There has only ever been 1. There is nothing to derive a pattern from.

9/23 is a good while away, the market will be completely different by then.

We don't even know for sure if there will be another "c" model. This could be a one-off, or the 5c might even be continued another year as the low cost "basic" model. OR, the 5s may become the 5"c" with a plastic exterior.

In any case, we won't know for sure until around september.

Does she need a phone now? If so, she can get one and it'll still be supported obviously. If she doesn't need the latest and greatest, then the 5c today will be just fine.

If she can wait though, september might be the best time to make a decision.
