Wonder if this will have any impact on design?
Very cool! I also immediately thought about fuligin, I'm readying the Book of the New Sun right now.
Would someone mind quoting the article, or at least explaining what it is about?

Lemme guess, Kanye's re-upholstering his entire fleet of vehicles right now.

Maybe it will eventually have an impact, but black is only going to be as black as the ink absorption of the suface will allow.
Not to say there won't be advancements in ink and paper technology based on this new discovery. But it's probably a ways off.
Cue thousands of Spinal Tap T-shirts..... "none more black"
