And a tad closer to getting a brand new Macbook Core 2 Duo for less, apart from the been-touched-by-another-consumer thing, that is.

If $200 off a brown boxed, previously touched C2D is still too much for anyone, maybe I should start reselling "in boxes hand-painted by Steve Jobs".
I can't believe it's 06:30 and they're all still there!

The good news is, there are plenty of those too! By the time the C2D's drop to CD prices, they won't be the current model in the stores either.

I wanted to get a C2D refurb but it was still out of my budget of $900. Went ahead and ordered a white 2.0GHz CD refurb.

I am so tempted to buy one right now. I have to be strong though and wait until I have more money, or else my bank account would be very empty. I can't say it is completely money related though, since I am always interested in seeing what their next update to their laptop line will bring. Patience can be a virtue.

Well the Core 2 Duo 2ghz model is immediately usable out of the box with its stock ram, not so true for the Core Duo model (512 is nuts).

thats about what i want. maybe wait $50 less.

is there a chance that they eventually have 2gig ram versions or larger HD version on the refurb?

i'm not in a hurry so i will wait a while longer and see what happens.
