Cable needed for SSD installation 2011 iMac

Ive read a few guides to install a 2nd SSD. Some say you need a splitter, others dont. This guide says you only need one cable:

Is that guide accurate? and if it is, how does the SSD get power? Thanks!

If you are upgrading a 27" then that is the cable you want. Data and power are on the same connector on the logic board of the mac so only one cable needed. Good luck.

That I have no idea about. I ordered mine through amazon and actually got it pretty quick.
