Cable TV alternatives in Germany?

Currently I'm watching TV via cable with very few channels (no HD!). Now I'm looking for alternatives on Apple TV. DirectTV Now doesn't exist in Germany, but I've seen that Zattoo offers over 90 channels in HD for just 10€. Are there similar streaming apps for tv channels? Magine TV? What is the best solution in Germany?

I also wonder if the TV App is coming to Germany? Would be great to see all my favourite series and movies from Netflix, iTunes etc. in one App.

Well, I wouldn't, but my wife can't live without SIXX and VOX, unfortunately.

SIXX and VOX are german tv channels and afaik both have livestreams via app. But that doesn't help us. She wants to watch it on the big screen.

I have seen it running somewhere, but I don't know how it would look in your 65" TV.

I'd recommend posting this in the German Apple forums at www.apfeltalk.de if you haven't already. Good community and maybe someone over there has experiences he can share.

Hi, I'm using Zattoo with premium account in switzerland. The App works well and does the job. I can also do recordings and time shift, replay.
Switzerland you can watch most channels for free.

I use Zattoo Swiss through DNS with OverPlay, you could set up your Apple TV with a DNS service and subscribe to Sling or DirecTV Now. Alternatively you could purchase season passes on the Apple TV through the US iTunes or De.

Personally I catch-up on the latest series via Hulu and the ABC, Fox, NBC and CBS sites and stream sports through BeIN Sports all using DNS changer. There's also the streaming version of CanalSat which offers French and English programming, I can't speak for German programming.
