Hey is there something like the little MacOS app “Caffeine” but for iPadOS? Or some control center shortcut to keep the iPad awake whenever it’s activated so the screen doesn’t shut off?

It’s tedious to go to settings each time and change settings for screen time out.

Any idea?

You probably need to explain further…like what's the difference for you between changing screen time out in Settings vs. some app?

Also, if the iPad is set to never turn off the screen…one click of the power button turns the screen off.

a simple one-line shortcut which allows opening the auto-lock settings (using the Open URL-command in Apple ShortCuts) directly from the Share-menu or the Apple Watch (you have to activate these options on the right, see below), or via Siri (give it a name and use “ Hey Siri, your-shortcut-name”; “Hey Siri, adjust autolock” in the screen shot below ) might alleviated the pain going through the settings?

You still have to select a time in the settings which will open.

nota bene: Most settings can be opened via the respective URL - prefs:root=DISPLAY&path=AUTOLOCK is used for the auto-lock settings. You can integrate this with an automation. E.g. when reaching a certain location, dis/connecting to a specific WLAN or before opening a specific app, et cetera.

I’m looking for a quicker shortcut to toggle it on/off. Control Centre for example but it doesn’t exist for that particular setting.

Going into settings, then display, then selecting the time or switching it off takes up too much time. But not the end of the world. Would just be more convenient to have a shortcut.
