I'm an independant developper and i wanted to share with you one of my Apple Watch apps.

Calc & Convert contains 3 mains modules:
- A standard calculator
- A Tip calculator and bill splitting tool
- A unit converter

The unit converter is fully customizable, which means that you can choose your favorites units and categories for an easier access to the tools you use the most.

The app includes a complication. The iPhone companion app at the moment contains a standard calculator widget that you can add to your notification center.

You can take a look on the AppStore here:

Thank you!

Thanks

Hi. I just bought it. Mainly as currency convert on my Watch (s4 40mm).

Unfortunately, the number of supported currencies is very limited, but especially the absence of Danish kroner dkk is a deal-breaker for me.

The app crashes when trying to choose favorite units in currencies.

The app crashes when trying to enter settings

I also bought it because the screen shoots show bigger keys than my current calculator (which has basic operators shown), but the layout has changed and labels showing swipe directions had made the keys no bigger than my current calculator. Maybe(hopefully) the labels can be turned off, but since settings crashes I haven't seen what options can be changed.

The iPhone version is likely of limited use for me, but it did hit, me that there is no scientific operators.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience.

Regarding the various app crashes you reported, I corrected everything and will submit an update shortly.

Regarding the calculator UI on the Watch, I intended to improve it and I hope you'll get a better experience in the next update.

Regarding currencies, I reduced the number of supported currencies mainly in order to keep a comfortable experience (especially on Apple Watch). I can easily add DKK for you if you need it, and then plan to add an option to make "all" currencies available, which may, on the other side, make the app a little bit less pleasant to use if you don't regularly use them...

Finally, regarding the calculator on the iPhone version, it seemed to me that a scientific calc was already built in with iOS and the main deal was to provide a simple widget as well as a standard calculator for iPad users.

Thank you again for your feedback, I really hope the next update to be available shortly and don't hesitate to contact me again if necessary.

Best regards

Thanks for quick reaction. I look forward to the update :). I guess any would like to have the currency of their locale in Currency converter, so I think it would be nice with all. You could then let user use the favorites to select a subset, so it doesn't get to overwhelming and unpleasant to use ;-)

Thanks for the quick update. All my issues seems fixed. Nice to have dkk and the calculator is also much nicer on my smallish 40mm :)

Two new issues and a wish :)
- Currency always starts with Euro Euro. Would be nice to remember last conversion
- The double pointed arrow icon does not work (I imagine it should swap places, which would be useful).
- I will hardly ever use Tip-calculator and would like to handle it like conversions, where they only show on front page if set as favourite in settings.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback!
I'll need a little bit more time to work on the next updates as I'm an independent developer and I do this on my free time beside my full time job :)
But I keep all your comments in mind to implement those new features.
I'll come back to you when it's done!

Best regards

It's ok, no rush. But a more serious problem is that the iPhone version doesn't work at all now (iPhone 6s). I doesn't launch.
