Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the TS4 Dock.

I have the following initial situation:

- MacBookPro 16 inch M2
- USB-C to Displayport cable via TS4 to monitor 2 with 4K resolution.
- USB-C to HDMI cable via TS4 to monitor 1 (Samsung Odyssey G9) with 2K resolution.

Everything works perfectly so far. However, when I put the laptop into sleep mode and wake it back up to continue working, it switches the resolution on monitor 1 from 2K to 1080p. The resolution on monitor 2 remains unchanged.

I also can no longer set a higher resolution on monitor 1. Only when I restart the Mac can I change everything again and everything works until it goes to sleep again.

I have installed the latest firmware update on the Doch.

Unfortunately I could not solve the problem.

Does anyone have any advice or does anyone have the same problem ?

Do you have the same problem if both displays are plugged directly in to the MacBook without going through the dock?

Same question as xraydoc and adding to that what type of cable are you using to connect the MBP to the TS4?

Also want to add: the TS4 has a built-in DisplayPort port. Have you tried that to the G9? Sounds like an HDMI problem.

Thanks for all the replys.

I have checked the cable. The cable seems ok I guess.
If the cable is plugged in the MacBook, everything works fine. No issue there.
The DisplayPort is allready in use for my 2nd monitor. So I can only use the usb-c to hdmi cable.

The problem is, that the 2nd DP Port on the monitor doesn’t work properly. This is a known issue on this monitor.

So I have to use the hdmi port.

The thing is, that if I plug the hdmi directly in the MacBook, it works.

And the hdmi works on the ts4 till I go into sleep.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve emailed Caldigit Support, waiting to hear back. All tends to go bad when the machine wakes from sleeping.

I have a MacBook Pro (M2 Max, on Ventura 13.2). A Dell Ultrasharp 3223QE as my main monitor, and an LG 27” 4K as my secondary screen.

Just connected up a new TS4 today (Firmware 39.1).

Both screens work fine direct to Mac, and individually on the TS4. Yet when connected together to the dock, I lose all my screen settings and I’m locked on my main screen to 30HZ. I’ve tried moving my LG to displayport on the TS4, same problem. And I’m not paying that much for a dock, to add more cables to my machine.

Hopefully Caldigit support has a solution before I start a refund procedure and alternatives.

I am having the same problem. I switch between an M1 MBP and a Surfacebook. If I use DP, then the Surfacebook can't set the resolution above 1080p, if I use an HDMI adapter, the Surfacebook works fine, but the MBP resets the resolution to 1080p every time it goes to sleep and the display settings does not offer a higher setting. If I unplug the HDMI adapter and plug it in again, then it stays in 1080p, but now the settings page offers the native resolution for the monitor.
