Caldigit TS5 dock and dual XDR studio monitors or daisy chain

Hallo guys reading the product info and according to caldigit site 2x 5k120hz displays are possible with M5 pro macbook pro via 1 cable. I think it is on the edge of 120 k bandwitch. Did someone tried this combination.? are there any limitation ( true tone missing etc)

Do anyone know whats is the limit of daisy chaining? can i daisy chain 2 5k120hz studio displays? Now iam using 120+60 hz combinatio and its working fine.

I don’t have an M5, but I can confirm that my m4 max Mac studio works connected with one TB5 cable to 2 Studio Display XDR’s daisy chained and connected through a TS5 plus.

Studio Display XDR —> Studio Display XDR —> TS5 Plus —> Mac Studio

Yup HDR works on both. It works without the Ts5 as well. I tested it daisy chained before I got the TS5 to try and fix my MBA problems with the displays

4 display from a single Thunderbolt port on M5 Max which is more than PCs with Thunderbolt 5 can do. A PC with Intel based Thunderbolt 5 host controller can do up to 3 displays from a single Thunderbolt 5 port (not considering MST).

I think all other Macs are limited to two displays from a single Thunderbolt port. You have a M5 Pro. Maybe it can support three displays from a single Thunderbolt port. Can you provide us with ioreg output so we can count the DisplayPort In Adapters to your Thunderbolt 5 controllers?
