Hello,

Calendar in iPod Touch is a quite useful thing. But it's really poor in sense of functionality. If I would like to add birthday to it I would expect entering year when the person was born, so it can automatically show how old this person is (just like in Nokia mobile phones). But it seems only notes can be added... Or am I missing something?

Best regards,
tytus

Hello,

...., so it can automatically show how old this person is (just like in Nokia mobile phones).

At Apple people doesn't get old, they simply add more experience to their personal baggage ! :D

It makes sense to me, the event is supposed to be -the birthday- and not -the birthyear- ;)

Yes, that would make sense. This is what I do, I make an event for a person's birthday, to remind me when it is. Then under "Location" you can put the year they were born, so you can know how old they are.

Go to your contacts, pick the person whose birthday you would like to add to your calendar, then edit it. Go to Add Field > Birthday and you can put in day, month and year.

There is an option in iCal to add a birthday calendar, which will add any contact with a birthday field automatically. Sync it to your Touch and there you go.
