Okay, was hoping for thought or solutions in case I missed something. Use case: I want a persistent calendar notification. I have set up the phone to offer me alerts for calendar entries so that they show up on the screen and require an action before they go away. This works BUT it only works if I'm actively using the phone. Problem. If the phone is locked (as it most often is when such alerts come through) the alert happens, and it's momentarily displayed on the screen, but logging in to the phone automatically clears the notification. This is particularly a problem now that touch ID has gotten so damned fast. Typically, I'll have the phone in my pocket, pull it out and there'll be a calendar notification, but I never see it. I use touch ID, the phone unlocks and clears any calendar notifications before I even see what they are. Is there a way that I can't seem to find to make calendar notifications persist until actively cleared, even after a touch ID login?
