Calendar notifications

I have a calendar event set for every day at the same time and a reminder notification to go off 5 minutes before. Since ios 18, the notification isn’t showing when the phone is unlocked and im using it. It shows up when the phone is locked. Did an settings change or is this a glitch? Thanks

Same. No calender notifications at all on iOS since 18.0.1. Hard resets and on off don’t do a thing.  can’t get notifications right to save their lives. Focus filters with convoluted options is what they are focused on, but the basics they are clueless.

Per posting history, looks like OP has an Apple Watch, correct?

Working as designed. iPhone only gets alerts when unlocked when using an AW. Been like that forever. Either or thing.
