One of the features I used quite frequently on macOS was copying an event and pasting into another day. Made it easy to create events for my son's practices or games that duplicated but not enough to create a repeating event. So I would always jump on my iMac 27" to create these events. I sold my iMac so it was an important feature I missed.

Unless it was added in later versions of iPadOS 18 (I have no way to check now), 26 at least allows it now as well. You can "copy" and then "Paste event here" and it respects the location of the cursor for the time! So if the event is at 1PM on Tuesday, I can just quickly paste at 2PM on Thursday! I will be using this feature quite a bit now!

Thanks for the update. Copy and paste isn’t available in iPadOS 18 (if it is, it’s so well hidden that I can’t find it)!

You can go to the edit mode and duplicate an event, which shows up on the same date, where you must drag or edit it to a new date. What you describe in iPadOS 26 should be much quicker.

Copy and paste works just fine in iPadOS 18. It only seems to work in day and week view though.

This is obviously on my iPhone, but it works the same on iPad.

That's not the same as on iPadOS 26. In 26, the event is pasted as is with no additional popup as a "New Event" where you still have to input details. It's actually a duplicate event with just a new time slot, no typing or input required.

I wasn't saying it was the same...just pointing out that it absolutely is possible in iOS 18. It sounds like it's definitely easier in iOS 26 though. 🙂

Ahhh my apologies 🙂 . I misunderstood your post. So I just confirmed that you can do it in iPadOS18 but it's slightly different because of the cursor. With the dot cursor in 18, you don't have the precision so depending on the area of the timeslot when pasting it will say "Paste Event Here 6:15PM". I wish I had known that was possible because I would've used it.

in 26 with the precision pointer the timeslot is precise so it's just "Paste Event Here" so definitely much easier to use and similar to how I use to use it on macOS.
