Mine are in contacts too.
Just select to add a field and select birthdays.

And yes they show up in your calendar app.

Thanks I've just seen that :) I've seen now iOS 5 in contacts we can add twitter, Facebook, Flickr details too.

Maybe these were always here but I'm only spotting them :D

Ios5 is in beta stages for developers who have paid for the licence and are reporting back on the different stages of the beta releases.

Having this on your primary phone at the early stages with bugs can cause your handset to have issues.

Best to wait until the final global release is available in my humble opinion.

My friend has the ios5 beta on his developer iphone 4 and it does have the potential to be awesome.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Wow. I never knew that. I learned something new today! Thanks!

Question though. If I have my iOS calendar is synced with my google calendar, and I enter all my birthdays in the contacts, and they show up on the iOS calendar, will they also show on my google calendar?
